This Easter, Eastleigh Football Club players, management, staff and fans have clubbed together to donate £500 to Southampton Children’s Hospital Charity.
Kat Blake from Eastleigh Football Club, said: “There is never a good time to be in hospital and we hope that our donation can create a memory the children can treasure for a lifetime.
“We read about the Southampton Children’s Hospital Charity Easter appeal online and really wanted to get involved. The players have been really generous with their donation, and many have close ties to the hospital.”
Beth Hall, head of fundraising, comments: “We are thrilled to have Eastleigh Football Club getting involved in their local children’s hospital, and cannot thank them enough for this generous donation.”
“Their donation will mean that we can bring in a bug and creepy-crawlie experience to the hospital for the children. In the past, this has been a real highlight for the children as they can get up close to the insects!”
