Southampton Children’s Hospital Charity is extremely fortunate to benefit from the hard work and dedication of some incredible fundraisers – including past and present patients and their families, staff, community organisations, businesses and members of the public – who raise money for many areas of Southampton Children’s Hospital.
We have listed some of the specific causes below but, wherever possible, we try to encourage donations to the general purpose fund for Southampton Children’s Hospital so this money can be shared across our child health services.
Children’s emergency and trauma department
Southampton Children’s Hospital Charity is currently leading a fundraising campaign to raise £2 million towards a new children’s emergency and trauma department. The state-of-the-art department will cost £4.8 million.
The Piam Brown Ward fund for the children’s cancer unit strives to improve the experience of life on the ward for our young patients and their families.
Robbiesrally fund typifies the passion, commitment and loyalty demonstrated by our patients, their families and friends and supporters who get behind their fundraising events and activities in their droves.
When Natasha and Lance Beatty lost their five-month-old daughter Lahna Tula, they were determined to ensure a lasting legacy for her.
So, in 2009, they launched the Lahna Appeal in her memory to fund both pioneering and routine equipment for patients and staff at Southampton Children’s Hospital.
